I had a problem with my vehicle of excessive smoke from the exhaust when the engine was warm and setting off from idle. I tried over 4 years to get this problem resolved through various diesel engine establishments including main Fiat agents. They really didn’t seem to have a clue, with the only suggestion being to add additives to the diesel and give it a good run on the motorway. Needless to say this didn’t resolve the problem and things got worse.
When I found your website I was relieved to find engine specialists and it gave me hope that may be I had found someone who could finally correctly identify the fault and fix it.
On contacting yourselves and meeting you I was amazed at your confidence that you could and would cure the problem and that you would give me a 12 months parts and labour guarantee.
I was pleased how you kept me informed of the progress while the vehicle was with you, and also the various issues that you identified along the way.
Picking the vehicle up just before Christmas 2018-2019 I was invited to take it for a test drive on the M60. The performance appeared improved and best of all, no smoking exhaust even when hot. The remedy being new injectors and turbo – though there was a lot more to it than that!
3,240 miles later and having toured France and Spain, everything is running fine and no sign of any smoke, even on tick-over.

Just a brief update on the above vehicle.
It was brought to yourselves on 21/12/2018 with excessive smoking problems from the exhaust.
Having covered over 7,200 miles, including two trips to Spain through France, since getting it back, I thought that I would let you know that everything is running fine and the exhaust is still as smoke free as the day I picked it up from your engineering firm.

I recently had a replacement engine fitted by Excel Engine Services. From the start of the process to completion the service has been outstanding. I am pleased that all the staff are professional and helpful, and available for continued help and support. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
After having the unfortunate experience of having to find an engine for my husbands 3 year old transit custom, I came across Excel!!
I had literally searched the whole country for the best price for the best engine I could find. This company was not only the best price by hundreds but their excellent service was outstanding. Engine was delivered promptly, fitted by our own mechanic then Excel picked old engine up and paid the surcharge back swiftly.
Van now drives like a new one.
Purchased a remanufactured bottom end for a Ford Transit last year, really great customer service.

It took me a while to choose Excel to do my engine swap on my Transit Camper, as I am very aware of shoddy dealers in the recon engine trade.
I trawled the internet and Excel seemed the best prospect. I gave them a call and Carl was very polite and courteous and ran me through the options and prices, I booked the van in for the work.
Being a mechanic and heavy plant fitter I could have done the job myself but decided for the price and timescale it would save me a lot of hard work on my driveway out in the elements, when I got the van back I was very impressed - the engine ran very smooth and so much more power even though I was keeping within the running in guidelines.
I could tell the attention to detail was very good as all the wiring and pipework etc. was correctly clipped back into place it is very easy to spot a bodge job at this stage, this was perfect.
I did have a problem with a noisy crank pulley after the job but the van was taken back in and this was cured by George who is a great person, very calm and professional.
The crank pulley being the offending item, not Excel's workmanship.
The only downside was the work did take longer than expected but I do understand these lads are very busy and the reason for that is they do a damm good job. My experience was a good one although the waiting time was a problem for me because I am very impatient, but if you want a good honest job doing give these lads a try.
Also whilst I was on the premises all of the staff I interacted with were very courteous friendly and helpful.
